Award winning documentary “Capturing the Light” by Frank Longo
MFA graduate from Florida State's College of Motion Picture, Television and Recording Arts, Frank has worked in a variety of film formats including feature, documentary, commercial, and music video. In 2000, his comedy short, Fighting Eddie, was awarded The Gold Award at Worldfest, then went on to win an Emmy. The film caught the attention of producers from American Pie and Final Destination fame and hired Frank to direct the indie-feature film, Repli-Kate, starring James Roday (Psych) and Eugene Levy.
Frank currently resides in Los Angeles where he continues to write, direct and edit. CAPTURING THE LIGHT marks Frank's first documentary.

JoAnn Parks and her husband, Carl, are the owner and caretakers of the famous quartz crystal skull known as Max... They both live the average life in Houston, Texas, USA
In 1973, their 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer and was given 3 months to live. This changed the Park's life forever... Through circumstance they met a Tibetan trained healer through their family medical doctor. JoAnn feels that the healers work, the creator and Max the crystal skull helped to extend their daughter life for 3 more years, with no explanation from the doctors. JoAnn ended up working for the healer for 4 1/2 years. Before Lama Norbu died he gave them the cherished quartz artifact telling them to "take care of the skull and one day you will know what it is all about" JoAnn knew nothing about crystal skulls so she placed it in a box in her closet for 10 years.
Through JoAnn's open mind and destiny, Max the crystal skull came out of the closet and into the world. JoAnn and Max have been on a spiritual path for 21 plus years throughout the US and Europe, allowing people to experience, interact, and connect to self through this unique tool..
