Eiji Han Shimizu is the second generation Korean born and raised in Yokohama, Japan. He co-founded Student Transport Aid with Dan Eldon when he was 19, to deliver humanitarian aids to refugee camps in East Africa. He has traveled to more than 50 countries, and speaks Japanese, English, Spanish and Portuguese. He inspired manga artist Tetsu Saiwai to adapt the life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama into comic book form.
