PEAK PERFORMANCE with DAVID CARPENTER

All of us were created with the power to perform at truly amazing levels. And, at various times in our lives, we have experienced personal peak performance which has thrilled us and benefited us. One of life’s challenges is to more consistently achieve peak performance in every aspect of our lives:
  • Better relationships with loved ones, family and friends
  • Better health, including having much more energy
  • Faster success at work or with your business investments
  • Improved results in any other aspect of your life

Don’t sell yourself short, you absolutely can create better results and Dave Carpenter’s weekly show will help you to discover just exactly how you can do so. Every Tuesday, from 2-3PM PST, Dave will be interviewing peak performers from all walks of life. As Jack Canfield often says “success leaves tracks” and these interviews will provide you with the philosophies, strategies and tactics to improve your personal performance. Best of all, Dave’s guests will be taking live questions from listeners so that you can tailor the guest’s experiences to your own situation.

Dave’s guests will also include leading coaches and experts on health, fitness, and self-development. Learn the very latest thinking on how any individual can improve personal performance.

The show’s host is Dave Carpenter, whose name is synonymous with peak performance. After a distinguished 25 year career advising companies on restructuring to achieve corporate peak performance, Dave came to believe that corporate peak performance is largely a function of the personal performance of its leaders. That conclusion led to a decade long study on how high achievers, in any field, achieve a level of personal performance that is superior.  His research combined extensive literature review, interviews with high performers in a variety of fields, studies of personal performance among partners in professional service firms, and extensive participation in the famous Outward Bound program.

Dave’s greatest personal success is centered in the breadth of his efforts to help others achieve uncommon success. He has taught hundreds of courses on improving performance. He has mentored many dozens of peak performers. And, he is the creator of the Quantum Leap Strategies web site which has become one of the most popular sites devoted to personal development. This widely acclaimed site attracts visitors from around the world who enjoy the wisdom and activities designed to help people be the very best that they can be.

Dave Carpenter’s extensive work in helping people to be their best has resulted in his being annually recognized in Who’s Who in the World for over a decade. In addition, he was recently chosen as the Exceptional Wisdom scholar on personal peak performance. His multi-media program on "Peak Performance" launches this fall.

Meet Gayle Barron. Gayle Barron’s name is synonymous with peak performance and thus an appropriate inaugural guest for the Peak Performance show. Gayle is truly one of the pioneers of American running. She was the winner of the first Peachtree 10K (Atlanta) in 1970 and went on to win five of the first six, earning her the endearing title of "The First Lady of Peachtree." The Peachtree 10K is the world’s largest 10K and Gayle is the only five time winner, male or female. She has also won three Atlanta Peach Bowl Marathons, and in 1978 had one of the thrills of her life with her win in the Boston Marathon.

All of Gayle’s many running and fitness accolades are overshadowed by her contributions back to her community since she stopped running competitively. She is one of the pioneers in developing what has become a national concept of "training as a team” that help runners to train together while also raising money for charity. Over the last fifteen years, Gayle has directly helped thousands of runners experience the thrill of completing their first marathon, half marathon or 10K. Equally important, her teams have raised millions of dollars for leading charities. Her teams have directly been responsible for building four Habitat for Humanity homes and funding leading cancer initiatives in the Atlanta area.

As a result of her many years of service to the Atlanta community, Gayle was recently chosen by Atlanta Magazine as one of the 45 "Greatest Atlantans" of the past 45 years. This is well deserved recognition to the consistency of her personal peak performance over so many years.
