Founded in 1998 by Dejra Turley, this non-profit (5013c) foundation provides an empowering "night to remember" for abused, homeless, underprivileged and terminally ill children. An event is especially coordinated that lets the child "share the spotlight" and become "A Star for the Night."
Each event starts with a make-over, a special outfit and a dinner; then off in a limo to the spotlight event. Some examples of events include: spending the night at a sporting event, meeting a special celebrity, jamming onstage with a favorite musician, modeling in a fashion show, or whatever "dream" they may have that will make them a "A Star for the Night."
