Encore Presentation of Stargazer by Shane Alexander

Los Angeles based solo artist Shane Alexander is back with Stargazer, the follow up album to his critically acclaimed 2005 independent release, The Middle Way.

The vocals and songwriting on Stargazer convey a real sense of honesty. Possessing a smooth and expressive voice, Alexander writes and performs songs ranging from dark and stirring to subtle and romantic.

Stargazer, recorded in only four days, was tracked mostly live using vintage gear. The result is a rich, timeless sound.

Featured Album and Artist: Inca Son
El Regreso Del Inca (Volume 10)
Inca Son transports audiences to the Andes Mountains with their ancient melodies, dances and colorful attire. The internationally acclaimed group shares their comprehensive knowledge of Inca culture. Sounds of the pan flutes, ranging from lively and happy to plaintive and haunting, is pure magic.

Past Boston Music Award recipients, their venues range from the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, United Nations, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center and Boston's Symphony Hall, where they performed with the Pops. Inca Son is the first Peruvian group to win the coveted Independent Music Award.

Inca Son delights in playing for students of all ages and have produced a great Teacher's Resource Guide. Their vibrant sound has entertained audiences throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and Latin America.

In the words of Boston Herald music critic Bob Young, "Inca Son, resplendent in feathers and singing the songs of their Inca ancestors, is a sight to behold."

Featured Album and Artist: Encore Presentation of Hidden Everywhere by Chris Rosser
Chris Rosser is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer who won songwriting contests at the Rocky Mountain Folks and Merle Watson festivals and has been showcased twice at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. Chris was a finalist at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

Chris plays a variety of instruments including the Indian dotar, Turkish cumbus oud, guitars, melodica and piano. With a 1999 WNC Regional Artists grant, Chris Rosser studied Hindustani classical music and the sarod (a 25-string fretless Indian lute) with world-renowed Indian musician, Ali Akbar Khan.

Chris also performs as a member of the world/jazz fusion trio Free Planet Radio, and tours as a keyboardist in the ensemble of master Turkish musician Omar Faruk Tekbilek. As a producer, he has produced about forty recordings for various artists in his Asheville, NC based studio Hollow Reed Studio.

Chris Rosser is perhaps best known as a songwriter:

Glen Velez developed and teaches the Handance system of frame drumming, which integrates rhythm, movement and vocalization for mental and physical toning. A member of the Paul Winter Consort from 1983 to 1998, he has also recorded with Steve Reich, Pat Metheny, Suzanne Vega, Richard Stoltzman, and others on various major record labels.Since 1985, Tingstad & Rumbel have been among the top selling duos in
comtemporary instrumental music.
