Walks With Thunder
Like his father and grandfather before him, Walks With Thunder is Shaman born of the Caddo Tribe. Since the age of two, he's been able to see Grandfather Spirits. At the age of fourteen when other boys were dreaming of driving- he could already bi-locate and manifest in two places at once. As he points out, he doesn't know any other way to be... “I have been on the Red Road a long time – before I even knew there was a Red Road... I didn’t know those things were special. I thought everyone could do it... And you know, I was right!"
Walks With Thunder's classes are based on one fundamental belief: Empowering others. In Andy's classes, his message is clear: "Take control of the 'gifts' you possess- to open the suppressed power of your life. When you take control of your own power, you don’t have to be a victim any longer.” A powerful teacher by example, Walks With Thunder lives his life according to what he teaches- full of joy in all that the Creator has provided in this blessed path.
By living a spiritually pure life- abstaining from alcohol, recreational pharmaceuticals, coffee, and tobacco (except for occasional ceremony)- Walks With Thunder opens himself fully to the Spirits' gentle teaching. As a non-traditional Shaman it seems only appropo that he also learned in a non-traditional way. “I didn’t learn the way of the Shaman from another Shaman. The Spirits teach me gently when I sleep.”
Eager to share all that he'd learned, Walks With Thunder was at first surprised that a few others had similar teachings- then he realized, "Those Spirits just can't keep a good thing to themselves... Come to think of it, I can't either! " Even when students have started as staunch disbelievers- Walks With Thunder shows them with a twinkle in his eye: "Everyone can do what I do- You don't even need to believe that it works- it just does."
